Computes the correction factor

Defined as equation 18 in Koay & Basser (2006, JMR, doi:10.1016/j.jmr.2006.01.016)

Parameters
  • snr – true signal over true noise (or the best current estimate of this)

  • ncoils – number of coils

correction factor between true and observed variance
