Friday, August 22
| 12:00 onwards | Arrive at Langdale Chase. |
| | Sailing trips. Small groups can be taken out on excursions, running all afternoon from the hotel jetty. |
| | Croquet, badmiton, boules in the hotel grounds. |
| | Bar open all day. If you wish to save your liver for the free booze, that will start immediately after the wedding ceremony on Saturday... |
| 14:00 onwards | Rooms available for check-in at Langdale Chase. |
| 18:00-19:00 | Children's buffet. |
| 19:00-21:00 | Adult buffet. |
| 21:00- | Evening entertainment. |
Saturday, August 23
| 08:00-09:30 | Breakfast for hotel guests. |
| 10:00-12:00 | Boat cruise on Lake Windermere. The boat will cruise from 10am-12pm,
including a brief stop at the jetty at 11am to pick up and drop off
passengers. The boat can seat about half of our numbers inside, and in
the event of rain, we will try to ensure that everyone is able to take
an hour-long cruise. |
| 12:00-13:00 | Light lunch. |
| 14:00-20:00 | Children's creche in designated playroom. |
| 14:30-15:00 | Wedding ceremony. |
| 15:00-17:00 | Champagne and jazz, hopefully outside. |
| 17:00-19:00 | Wedding "breakfast" (i.e., dinner). |
| 19:00-Late | Dancing and merriment. |
| 23:00 | Late-night snack. |
Sunday, August 24
| 08:00-09:30 | Breakfast for hotel guests. |
| 11:00 | Checkout from Langdale Chase. |
| 12:00 | For anyone who wants to stick around, we'll probably be getting lunch at the Wateredge Inn just a mile up the lake's edge towards Ambleside, before an afternoon walk up to Grasmere. |
